The third week of summer we were kind of laid back.  After our awesome week at the beach we were all tired so we just took it easy.

The first couple of days we just stayed home and played and tried to catch up on laundry.

 The boys spent a lot of time playing Cars and planes.  They have a major obsession with Disney Cars and Cars 2.

 The night we went to the movie we had a great family night.  We ate dinner at Neo Burrito and then we saw Madagascar 3.

 After the movie we had frozen yogurt at Ya-Ya's.  OH!! So good!

 One day the boys made brownies.  They love to cook.  Brayden helps me in the kitchen all the time.

 We had a family Friday Fun night at Grandma and Papaw's pool.  So fun spending time with family.

 The air conditioning was broke all week and the temperatures soared so we spent a lot of time out side in our small pool.

We are having so much fun this summer!!  We have just loved every minute of it so far!!!

The Little Gym Big Show

The boys have been going to The Little Gym for several years now.  They love it!!  This past year they took a sports skills class.  They covered every sport from frisbee to volleyball to basketball, to baseball and everything in between.  They learned some great skills from so many different sports.  The had their Big Show on June 4th where they showed off all of their new skills.

Second week of summer vacation

Our second week of summer vacation was AWESOME!!!!  We packed up and headed to Panama City Beach.  It was soooo worth the 9+ hours drive.  We stayed in two great resorts and had the time of our lives.  The beach was so beautiful and the water so much fun.  The boys played, played and played.  They loved the sand and the water and the pools.  They even caught a couple of fish with their net and a hermit crab.  So we threw in a couple of science lessons into our vacation.  

We just had a wonderful week and we made many memories that will last a life time.

I am so thankful and blessed that we got to take this trip and spend quality family time together.

First Week of Summer Vacation!!!

YAY!! School is finally out!!!! Charlie had an extra Awesome kindergarten year!!! So awesome that we all really hate to see it end. But... a little rest and relaxing with a lot of fun mixed in is sure going to be nice. If I could make one wish it would be to have summer break and then have Charlie go back to school with Mrs. McBrayer and Mrs. Reed. I know, I know he has to grow up and move on to first grade. I can't thank his teacher's enough for the WONDERFUL year he had and for making his move into "Big School" so easy and fun.

Our first week was fun and laid back all in one.

A little I-pad and computer fun and shh don't tell the boys---LEARNING too.

We played our last baseball game of the season and then took pictures of "Papaw's Park".

The boys also had tons of fun playing with some neat blocks that Mrs. Reed gave them.

Lots of outside fun with the pool, picnics, bike riding, sidewalk chalk and paint and the most favorite thing of all---- jumping in puddles.

Charlie spent a long time mixing magic potions.  Who knew you could have so much fun with water, a plastic bottle, bubbles, and soap suds.   What an imagination that boy has--- He amazes me with all the fun things he comes up with.

Well our first week was a success!!!  The boys had a great time and they even learned some things in the process.  I can say for sure that--

Baseball

The boys are playing baseball this year at East Asheville or as Brayden calls it "Papaw's field."  My dad ran the youth league for over 50 years and they named the ballfield after him several years ago.  Papaw has been to every practice and game this year.  He just loves to watch the boys play.  You would never know that he is 81 years old.  He definately has ball in his blood.  

Brayden's Preschool Program

Brayden had his last day of preschool on May 22nd.  Then on the 23rd they had their end of the year program and graduation for the older children.  I am so proud of him.  He got up on stage and sang his little heart out.  He had a great year with great teachers and he has learned so much.  I can't believe that this time next year he will be one of the graduates.  My how time flies!!

We are looking forward to Charlie's school year to come to an end.  We have a lot of fun things planned for the summer.   I love having my boys home everyday!!

SpRiNg BrEaK

It has been awhile since our Spring Break but it was absolutely awesome!!!  I LOVE having my boys home and not being in the daily school routine for a whole week was fabulous!!! 

Nature Center

We visited our local nature center with some friends.





Hollywild Zoo

We got Daddy to take a day off and we visited Hollywild Zoo.

It was so much fun.  The boys loved feeding the animals.



Davidson River

We took a little Hike to Moore Cove and saw a beautiful waterfall.

The boys loved exploring and playing in the water.



Spring Break was AWESOME!!!  It was just long enough to make us all want Summer.
