Preschool Week 10

C is 42 months old

Preschool this week was a little slow. We had a lot of things going on like playdates and company coming in so school was somewhat pushed to the side.

We rode the Great Pumpkin express and got to go to Charlie Brown Town and meet part of the gang. The train ride was sooooo much fun. Both of my boys had a blast.

We read the book the Pumpkin Patch Parable and we talked about how the farmer got all of the gooey, yucky stuff out of the pumpkin and then carved it and put a light in it to shine and then we talked about how God does that to us. He takes out all of our yuckies and puts a light in us to shine for Him. We made a little pumpkin out of a paper plate with all the yucky showing. For some reason I do not have a picture of that.

C had a lot of fun cleaning out the pumpkins so we could make a Jack-O-Lantern. He liked counting the seeds and we saved some of them for counting activites later on.

C had a great time using Starfall.com. He really enjoyed the create your own Jack-)-Lantern part of the site. It is just a wonderful site.

C decorated his pumpkin with wiggle eyes, pompoms and yarn. He really enjoyed this activity and it held his attention for a long time.

It was a very slow school week but we had lots of fun. And of course we ended our week trick-or treating with friends and family.
