St. Patrick's Day Fun

My 2nd week of planning a cooking activity for Brayden was so much fun.  We made these cupcakes for Charlie's class and for our Team Kid class at church.  Brayden had so much fun helping make the cupcakes.  I totally spaced and did not get any pictures of him helping me cook.  I will do better next week.
Making shamrock prints with cookie cutters.  We also made them with green peppers.

The boys came up with this activity all on their own.  They drew rainbows and then made shamrock prints under the rainbows.  Then they asked for cotton balls to make clouds.  They turned out so cute.

Brayden asked for a new piece of big green paper.  He
then drew a  picture of a cat and a person.  Then he wrote his name
all by himself on the paper.

Warm March Weather

This winter was a major bummer in the snow department.  Charlie only had one snow day and it was the first day back to school after Christmas break.  There was hardly any snow and it was gone by noon.  The boys got new sleds for Christmas from their cousins and they did not get to use them once.

Now our March weather has been very warm so we have spent a lot of time outside playing.  The boys love being outside.

Brayden used the side walk chalk to draw his cousins
                                                                 Ashley and Travis!

Playing Jake and the Never Land Pirates Pirates.  They have treasure in the bucket.

We are holding out hope for some snowy days next winter. For now we are just savoring these warm sunny days.

My Little Chef

Making No Bake Cookies with Oatmeal
 Yummy!!!

Brayden loves to cook and help in the kitchen.  Anytime that I am in there it is only a matter of minutes before he is moving his chair over saying, "I want to cook too!"  I am trying to intentionally plan a cooking activity for him weekly.  He is always welcome to help me in the kitchen but I want to plan a specific recipe for him to help me with.  He already has a list of things he wants to make.  His list includes cookies, chocolate bananas, cake-pops, brownies, and smoothies.

We Love Teacher Workdays!!!

Last week Charlie had a teacher workday so he got to stay home all day. We loved every minute of it!!!! I heard parents complaining about the kids being home for the day and I just do not understand that. We have only had one snow day this year so he has not been home a lot. I was just as excited as he was to have a day off. We started our day by just being lazy and playing around the house. We had his favorite breakfast of "Big" waffles and then we just played. Later we met daddy for lunch and then headed to the Health Adventure. We had lots of fun at the Health Adventure and then we headed to Target to look at the toys and get ideas for both of the boys up-coming birthdays. Once home the boys finalized their birthday party lists and then we played, played, played. It was just a wonderful day!!!
