Tot-School Weeks 5 and 6

Tot School

B is 17 months old on week 5 and 18 months old on week 6.

I am posting two weeks together because we went out of town at the end of last week and just returned on Wednesday of this week. Things have been a little wild around here lately.

WEEK 5

B painted and put stickers on his Number 5.

B spent a lot of time playing with his Thomas Stickers. He made a collage of the sticker on the black paper. He LOVES these stickers!!

B has really gotten into stacking blocks. He can stack them 8 and 10 high now. His favorite thing to do is knock them down!!

B also had fun just coloring with a green marker.

B also had a lot of fun this week playing with his soccer ball. He will play kick with me forever. He loves it. He love just about any type of ball.
This is about all we got accomplished this week. We did have an 18 month check up and got some shots--Yuck But B was such a good boy at the doctor's office. We also got packed up and headed to the beach!!

Week 6

We spent most of this week at the beach so Tot-School is a lot different this week.
B had a blast!! He LOVES LOVES LOVES the water and he is such a dare devil. He kept us on our toes but we had lots of fun.

B spent a lot of time playing and digging in the sand and he loved the ocean. He would let the waves knock him down then he would jump right back up laughing the whole time. He would do it all over again. He was so much fun to watch in the water.

B loved the pool too. He spent a lot of time in the Lazy River with his daddy and his Papaw. His daddy even had him going under the water before we left and he really liked it. I think swimming lessons are on our agenda for the winter.

The best part of the week was just spending time with family and having a different routein than normal.

Preschool Week 5

C is 41 months old

We had a very busy week this week but we managed to get some Aa and apple activities done. We still have several to finish up but we will work on them next week.

C laced an apple and then added a leaf and a stem. He did a great job lacing. I think finally his fine motor skills are developing.

C is making a book about the seasons of the apple tree. It is from the Mailbox Magazine. I shrunk it to 60% in size. This week he did the winter page where he just colored the tree and put animals in the tree that use it for shelter in the winter. Then on the summer page he tore and glued green paper to make it look like leaves. We will do the Spring and Fall pages next week.

C brainstormed a list of Aa words and then he glued Apple Jacks on the Aa. He like that he got to eat some too.

C made an apple moasic. He really did a good job cutting even though he did not quite stay on my lines. He also put it back together without any help.

C made a stain glass apple this week using tissue paperr. It looks great hanging in our kitcher window.

C spent some time this week playing with his cars.

C made an apple with a worm coming out of it.

C worked on a worksheet where he sorted the capital A's from the lower case a's.

We really had a great week! We wanted to visit an apple orchard this week but we had a ton of rain at the beginning of the week and then we just ran out of time at the end of the week. Maybe we can get there next week.

Tot-School Week 4

Tot School

B is 17 months old

This week we visited the Fair. B loved the animals. He learned how to click his tongue to get the horse to look at him. Every time we would leave an animal he would sign and say more, more!

B loved playing with his Fisher Price jungle this week. It has balls so he loves it! He also likes the music it makes. Sometimes he will just play the music and dance.

B still loves all of his Thomas books. He gets them every day and reads them and looks at them. He will even look at the Thomas coloring book forever. He also likes to "read" the Thomas and friends catalog. He amazes me at how long he will sit and just look at it.

B played a lot this week with his busy ball popper. He loves to push the button and then just laugh as the balls are popping everywhere.

B played with his shape bus this week and we talked a lot about shapes. He then started stacking them and knocking them over. He got to where he was very good at stacking them and he thought it was sooooo funny to know them over. Later in the day he had a snack of bananas, strawberries, and a cookie and he tried his very best to stack his snack.

B made apple prints this week. His favorite part of making them was sticking his thumb in green to make leaves on them. As he made each print we talked about the color it was.

B painted his number 6 this week then he chose to put six thomas stickers on it.

We had a great week. B also attended his first Kindermusic class of the new semester. He is the only boy so he has lot of girlfriends to play with. He also went to his brothers play and learn group and they have a train table so he was in heaven. He played trains for a solid hour.
